A little help here fellas,
After a 20 minute tear around town today, (finally sunshine) I decided to
pull the plugs to see how my baby was running. I found that the plugs were
black all 6. Running rich. In the driveway, I stomped the throttle a few
times to see if I was blowing any black smoke. Nothing. Possible culprit? I
am running Splitfire SF6C. I am wondering if I should go back to the
Champions. Do ya think this might help/cure the carbon build up on the
plugs. If so, which plugs should I run? The hotter or the cooler? I think I
have a set of RN9YC laying around somewhere in the garage. I have no problem
what so ever with the engine running hot. I am presently running twin HS6 SU
carbs. Maybe I should just adjust the mixture? Any takers?
