Refinishing ideas

Team,

I just picked up a new Walnut dash for my 6 - it is a bit darker than I
like - any ideas on the best way to lighten it. Will chemicals remove enough
or bleach enough that I can lighten it or will I need to sand down as well.
I would like to get it light enough to match the walnut on my steering wheel
and shift knob.
