Not on my 6, but my Dad's Stag (same rear axles) had a similar problem.
 He had the right rear hub rebuilt by a local guy, who did it wrong. 
My dad noticed a funny noise while on the highway and slowed down on
the shoulder.  The right rear wheel actually fell off and the car
sustained a good amount of damage to the right rear fender area.  It's
terrifying to think what could have happened at speed.
