Kai---My feeling about doing the above on con-rods is this--Since shot peening is intended to stop minor stress fractures from expanding, I think it's a good idea for engines subjected to high compression. The lightening of these parts would help in engines meant to endure high revs, as in over 6500. Both static and dynamic balancing should follow. Dick T. '73 |
