Tonight we were out on a hour or so long trip at highway speed, and I had
the car in overdrive. Suddenly the car jerked a couple of times, the tach
went nuts, and the car seemed to be jumping in and out of gear. I popped it
out of OD, and the problem stopped immediately. I left it out of OD the rest
of the way home, but obviously I seem to have an issue.
So,
1) knowing what we know so far, is it likely I can drive the car safely if I
stay out of OD, and
2) where do I start in my diagnosis, or...
3) is this one way out of a novice's league and therefore I should take it
to my local recommended TR guy?
Thanks for any advice...I'll start reading up on ODs now
