I called the Tirerack a few months ago to check on what wheels would
fit a TR6, and they just said to call for Panasports. But if the 300Z
wheels have the same bolt pattern and offset as a 6, then it doesn't
matter that they were 14" from the factory. The popular trend in
aftermarket wheels is to use a "plus one" or "plus two" size. This
means if you had a 14" wheel stock from the factory, you should buy a
15" or 16" wheel with a lower profile tire. This allows you to keep
the stock overall diameter the same (thus the speedo will be accurate)
but get bettter handling because of the shorter tire sidewalls. Call
the Tirerack and ask them if a 300Z from pre 1990 has the same bolt
pattern and offset as the 6, then see if they sell any aftermarket
wheels in a 15" size(or bigger if you want better cornering on your
TR). The Tirerack is THE authority when it comes to aftermarket wheels
and tires.
