Hi. Sounds like you just did what I'm going to do...I think my
od unit is stuck on, but we've probably done some significant
damage to both tranny and J-OD unit. Can't get it into reverse;
using 1-2-3 at much above 2000 - 2500 rpm results in a metallic
sound from the gearbox, sounds like bits and pieces are being
swirled in the oil and clipping the gears. I've priced in the
vickie brit catalog a rebuilt tranny and OD for $999 & 899
respectively - way up there. If I've done major damage, I'm
switching to a supra 5 speed....
Since you've just done the rebuild replacement, can you send me
anything that'd be handy to know... Also... This Brian from Power
British -- Do they have a web site / catalog etc, and what was
the cost of both units....
