Mike---I always like to see enough thread sticking up out of the head to
get a regular nut and a jam nut on it. I find this convenient when
taking out these studs before head removal.  There are two places that
calls for the longer stud for this double-nutting to take place. I don't
recall which two, but it will be obvious when the studs are installed,
if you also use this method for stud removal.
