Matt---Several days ago you had responded to a fellow sixer who wanted
to know if there were any other wheels that would fit the TR6. You
replied that possibly the Z series from a Datsun/Nissan might, and
"could someone confirm." My brother had a 240Z and now has an '86 300Z.
He said the now-Nissan company changed to a five bolt pattern with a 15"
wheel after 1985. Before that all the Z cars, to his knowledge, used the
four bolt pattern, using the 4 1/2" diagonal span across the centerline,
and similar offset. Unfortunately, it did not come with the 15"
wheel, as did the TR6, but had 14"er's. So while it appears that the
older Z wheel would bolt up to a TR6, it won't properly fill the wheel
well, and would of course greatly alter the final drive ratio.
