I have an Addco sway bar on my TR6 and I agree with you that the square
washers that are meant to sandwich the trailing arm in the spring perch
don't look too good but I have never had a problem with them.
I did have a problem with the mount of the sway bar bushings to the frame.
Addco gives you a bolt bent into a squared c shape. It is ment to thread
into two holes that you drill in the frame. In my car the bolt eventually
tore a line between the two holes an ripped right out of the frame. I would
suggest finding some way to clamp the bushing to the frame or weld a
reinforcing plate to the frame (that's what I did).

Subject: Rear sway bar
I have finished rebuilding the front suspension on the TR and am now
tackling the rear suspension. I decided that the uprated TRF springs are
not for me and have replaced them with a new set of stock springs.
The question I have today is has anyone installed a rear ADCO sway bar on
their TR6? I have begun the process but find that the large flat washer,
supplied with the kit, does not seat very well under the trailing arm.
It is rocking on a landing that is cast into the trailing arm. I don't
like the way this looks or feels. I'm plan to trim one side of the washer
so it fits around the landing and lays flat against the trailing arm.
Has anyone got any experience to share?
