I agree on the importance of stretching everything as tight as possible.

I bought a cloth style top instead of a vinyl style, I don't remember the
brand. I didn't quite stretch the material across the back under the window
tight enough. Because of that, the back side of the  door windows didn't
quite seal as well as they should.

The cloth tops do not stretch and shrink the same way that the vinyl tops
do but I like the way they look.

Installing the top myself was a very positive experience for me and my
father. It took 6-8 hrs.. but thats not the point. I wasn't sure how it
would go but if you just dive into it and pull everything tight was you
work. It will fit fine when you're done. I did have a bit of a problem with
one of the snaps I installed.. the snap part and the outer button has
seperated, not a serious problem but annoying in anycase. If you think you
can do it you probably can if you're careful about it. You have to have
help
and a second opinion though.
