If you look carefully inside you will usually find the foam sealing strips
on the flaps have rotten away. If you dont replace these, you will probably
have a rattle. You need to remove the end plates from the heater to fix
these. At the same time, its worth painting the heater core with a very thin
squirt of flat black,  to stop corrosion & improve heat ransfer
